Good Evening,
Nippersink School District 2 will be starting the 2021-22 school year making face coverings or masks optional for its students while in District school buildings. In addition, the District will continue to ensure that all other COVID-19 mitigations will continue to be implemented with fidelity and to the highest standard.
COVID-19 positivity rates and case numbers will continue to be monitored in our community and schools on a daily basis. If the community and/or school data indicate a significant increase in the positivity rate or number of actual COVID-19 cases, the District may need to return to face coverings for a two-week period while the situation is closely monitored by school and local health officials.
The Nippersink SD 2 Board of Education and administration are committed to maintaining a healthy learning environment that remains flexible and responsive to the ever changing educational landscape that COVID-19 can create. A full District plan regarding COVID-19 mitigations for the Fall of 2021 will released during the week of August 1st.
We remain excited and ready to welcome our students back to what promises to be a great school year!
Sincerely,
Dr. Tom Lind
Superintendent

This year we are not able to have a Field Day at Spring Grove Elementary, however, during P.E. class students will be able to participate in Olympic Event Week. The purpose of this event is to provide a theme-based field day during the students’ P.E. times that help celebrate the Summer Olympics. The fundamental principles behind the Olympics are based on the celebration of both body and mind, through physical activities and culture. Students will have the opportunity to compete in multiple events such as fencing with pool noodles, relay long jump, ultimate hoop challenge, and much more. Let’s end this school year right with a fun and exciting Olympic Event Week!
